STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe…

  1. That the Bible is the inspired, infallible, authoritative written Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  2. In the eternal existence of one true God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Ephesians 2:13-18; Ephesians 4:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14).
  3. In the Savior of men, the Lord Jesus Christ, conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, very God and very man (John 1:1-5, 14; Colossians 1:15-20).
  4. In the creation, test, and fall of man, as recorded in Genesis; his total spiritual depravity and inability to attain to divine righteousness (Genesis 1:27-31; Genesis 3:1-6; Psalm 8:3-6; Romans 3:10-12; Romans 3:23-24; Romans 5:12-14).
  5. That forgiveness of sin and eternal life is freely offered to all by our Lord Jesus Christ. The Salvation of sinners is by grace through faith alone, in the perfect all sufficient work of Christ, who died for our sins, was buried and rose again the third day for our justification (Romans 10:9; Romans 5:8, 10; Ephesians 2:8-10; John 3; Romans 5; Galatians 4; Ephesians 1).
  6. In Water Baptism of believers by immersion in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 6:4; Mathew 28:18-20; Acts 2:38).
  7. In the Baptism with the Holy Spirit as an experience subsequent to salvation with the scriptural evidence; namely, speaking in tongues (Acts 2:2-4; Acts 8:14-17; Acts 10:44-47; Acts 19:1-6).
  8. In the gifts of the Holy Spirit as enumerated in the book of Acts and the Epistles (Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4-14).
  9. In the Lord’s Table as a memorial for believers (Luke 22:14-20; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
  10. In Divine Healing as practiced throughout the New Testament (John 4:46-54; John 5:1-15; John 9:1-7; John 14:12-14; Acts 3:1-10; Acts 14:8-10).
  11. In the eternal life of the believer and the eternal punishment of the unbeliever (John 3:16-18, 36; Mathew 25:46).
  12. In the Spirit-filled life. The Holy Spirit is the catalyst for sanctification and seeks to produce His fruit in the believer’s life as their minds are renewed and they are conformed to the image of Christ (John 14:16-18; Romans 8:9-10; Romans 12:1-2; Galatians 5:22-25; 1 Corinthians 13-15).
  13. In the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Church (Isaiah 26:19; Isaiah 65:17; Ecclesiastes 12:14; Romans 8:19-21; Revelation 21:1-4).
  14. In the sanctity of marriage, as a lifelong exclusive commitment between one man and one woman. (Genesis 1:26-27; Ephesians 5:25-33).
